We are presenting Volume 2 of UMPG’s One-Stop Shopping Sampler Series (UMPG controls 100% of the publishing and master). The below music highlights four amazing artists spanning the genres of rock, pop-rock and electronic. If you would like to hear additional music by any of these artists, please don’t hesitate to ask. Enjoy!
Eastern Edges

Eastern Edges is a project made up of songs written and recorded by Josh Loucka. Loucka grew up in New York City and has been playing in bands since high school. His first band, Shift was eventually signed to Columbia Records where they toured with the likes of the Foo Fighters and The Offspring. Eastern Edges' newest release is a collection of gritty, edgy but still undeniably catchy songs. Five tracks recorded with a “little or no-frills” approach and drummer Daren Pfeifer laying a foundation of big, solid beats. “I wanted to do something primal and immediate” says Loucka, “just raw rock’n’roll.”

Grifter

Stuart Rau aka, Grifter, has been involved in both the heavy rock and electronic/hip-hop DJ scenes. On his latest project, Grifter has decided to forget about being genre-specific and focus on classic songwriting inspired by the likes of Paul Simon, Radiohead and Beck. The melody lines in Grifter’s songs are memorable after just one listen. His infectious rhythm guitar paired with soaring vocals invokes a warm, comforting feeling of familiarity.

Starlight And Arms

The songwriting duo of Alex Kemp and George Krikes aka, Starlight And Arms, got their introduction through the weird musical mill that is the LA studio scene. When working together on random projects for various bands they realized their shared love of wildly diverse artists and decided to get some tracks down and explore their creative confluences. The resulting EP exudes an innocent optimism that comes directly from their personalities.

Bones Domingo

Bones Domingo has an unprecedented gift for creating dramatic, epic and sweeping orchestrations which have appeared in ads for Reese’s, Dell Computers, and most recently Lexus CT. This is a unique sound whose instrumentation can be compared to the likes of Massive Attack or Portishead featuring melodic electronic layers and driving percussions.
